Position(s) available: Commercial Account Manager &/or Commercial Account Executive within Victoria Stanhope’s Commercial Team

We are preparing for more growth! As such, we are seeking highly dependable and personable individuals to work in our commercial account management team.

We are seeking self-motivated and experienced commercial insurance professionals who take initiative. Diligence and organizational skills are imperative. Applicants should consider themselves to be team-oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills. We are looking for client-focused individuals with the ability to foster and build positive professional relationships with colleagues and clients. A successful candidate is adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic office environment.

Commercial account management requires both individual and teamwork. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing a broad portfolio of medium to large sized dynamic, commercial insurance accounts (many of which are in the construction space) under the leadership of Victoria.

Account management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Working hand in hand with our prominent, highly esteemed commercial clients including the provision of professional and practical insurance advice

•The careful preparation of insurance and related documentation to be provided to clients, underwriters and other professionals (including certificates and binders)

• Diligently reviewing insurance policy documentation for accuracy and preparing same for clients

• Accounting work including invoicing

• Fostering positive relationships with the underwriting community

• Participating in client calls and in-person meetings

• Marketing commercial accounts

• Other responsibilities related to the daily administration of a broad portfolio of medium to large sized commercial insurance accounts including those in the construction, development and/or realty segments

• Negotiating with underwriters

Education/experience requirements:

• Commercial insurance experience is an absolute requirement – either on the underwriting or broker side
• Insurance-related education and/or professional designations are considered assets
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PDF software is required
