We are looking for a highly dependable individual to fill the role of Personal Lines Processor in our firm’s boutique-style personal lines department.  This is a new, permanent, full-time position that is available immediately.

We are seeking a self-motivated personal insurance professional who takes initiative.  Diligence and organizational skills are imperative.  Applicants should consider themselves to be exceptionally detail-oriented and adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic office environment.

The Personal Lines Processor role requires both individual and teamwork.  The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with our Personal Lines Brokers to process and prepare personal insurance policies and related documentation and information.  The successful candidate will work under the leadership of our Personal Lines Manager, Scott Conrad.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Communicating effectively with our Personal Lines Brokers to help with new business, renewals, coverage changes, claims and other items
  • Contacting carriers and/or underwriters as requested
  • Diligently and carefully reviewing, processing and preparing insurance applications, quotations, policies and related documentation accurately, efficiently and professionally
  • Embracing new and emerging technologies to support operations and better serve our customers
  • Acting professionally and ethically in all aspects of work
  • Actively participating in training initiatives and keeping current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Other support tasks related to the daily administration of a broad portfolio of personal insurance accounts including but not limited to being flexible and open to learn and adapt to change

Education/Experience Requirements for this Role:

  • Personal lines insurance industry experience is an absolute requirement
  • Insurance-related education and/or professional designations are considered assets
  • Proficient in utilizing desktop applications including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Experience with Applied TAM (The Agency Manager) considered an important asset
