Position: Personal Insurance Broker (Permanent, Full-Time)
We are looking for a highly dependable and personable individual to fill the role of Personal Insurance Broker in our firm’s boutique-style personal lines department. This is a permanent, full-time position that is available immediately.
We are seeking a self-motivated personal insurance professional who takes initiative. Diligence and organizational skills are imperative. Applicants should consider themselves to have exceptional interpersonal skills. We are looking for a client-focused individual with the ability to foster and build positive professional relationships with colleagues and clients. A successful candidate is adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic office environment.
The Personal Insurance Broker role requires both individual and team work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad portfolio of personal insurance accounts under the leadership of our Personal Lines Manager, Scott Conrad.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Direct communication with personal lines clients including the provision of professional and practical insurance advice.
- Diligently and carefully reviewing insurance policies and related documentation for accuracy and preparing same for clients.
- Administering new policies to existing or new clients.
- Retaining and growing one’s personal lines book of business.
- Actively participating in training initiatives and keeping current on underwriting rules and workflow processes.
- Other tasks related to the daily administration of a broad portfolio of personal insurance accounts.
Education/Experience Requirements for this Role:
- Personal lines insurance industry experience is an absolute requirement
- Insurance-related education and/or professional designations are considered extremely important assets
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook is required
- Experience with Applied TAM (The Agency Manager) considered an asset
- Post-secondary education is preferred, but not required
